Amaretto Sour. This Italian/American invention is making a huge comeback, primarily due to the more recent addition of Bourbon whiskey.
We use Bulleit Bourbon which does an excellent job of working with the lemon to offset the sweetness of the Amaretto. The result is a perfectly balanced drink that appeals to many, which is why this cocktail is trending strong these days.
Like most sour whiskey drinks, the addition of egg white prior to the shake add a tremendous depth of character and feel to the drink. This is definitely a classic cocktail to try out.
